Quilt Top.

Once you are finished piecing your quilt top, it is always a good idea to iron it thoroughly. Clip all loose threads, especially dark ones, that may show through lighter fabric. Please make sure there are no holes in any seams and the quilt top is free from pins.

If you are planning on using embellishments, such as buttons, it is best to add them after your quilt is quilted. Some appliques are okay to add, but not all appliques can be quilted through.

Backing & Batting.

Batting MUST be roughly 6 inches larger than the quilt top.

Backing MUST be 8 inches larger than the quilt top . This is very important for proper quilting on a long-arm machine. See the example below:

It is also important to make sure your backing is square, especially if you have pieced it.  Please note on your order form if there is a specific way you would like the backing to face in relation to your quilt top. Feel free to pin a note to the top(north) of the back and top(north) of the quilt top for easy alignment.

Do not baste your quilt before dropping it off. Make sure to send the top, batting and backing independent of each other.

Design.

I have hundreds of designs for you to choose from! However that can be overwhelming.  If you need help designing your quilt, I am always happy to help!  You can also write "quilters choice" on the order form and I will pick for you. 

Please note that some designs are meant to be quilted in a specific direction. If you would like your quilting design to go a specific direction on the quilt, please make a note on your order form.

Pick up or Delivery.

I will complete your quilt within a week of receiving it. As soon as your quilt is finished, I will contact you to arrange pickup or return shipping. If you shipped your quilt to me, I will email you an invoice. Once you have paid your invoice I will ship it back to you with insurance.
